Argentine tango in Greenwich,
This Friday class is best suited to those who enjoy working on detail and precision.

"Our tango class on Friday is especially focus on developing tango technique. For new comers or beginners our teaching method is characterised by learning about the classic embrace, couple walking and musicality. We encourage understanding of tango as a creative form based on shared codes more clearly represented in the Classic Tango. Instead of teaching only steps or figures we invite students to also look at how their own bodies' naturally movement, in connection to floor navigation and partner dancing, building organic communication with the partner rather than just learning set sequences. In relation to style we promote the classic tango posture with elegance, musicality, facilitating definition in the complementary rolls of leading and following."

The class is usually divided in 3 sections:
1. Warm-up and connection exercises
2. Solo Technique Work
3. Partner work and short Práctica

Our Tango club on Saturdays (Chalk Farm base) also invites teachers who are interested in experimenting with 'New Tango', these classes are usually for people who have been dancing for over 2 years. New Tango is a recent tendency mainly promoted by young couples who are deconstructing tango forms and structures proposing a freedom of tango movement, patterns, concepts, change of embrace and alterations. The music used also has a more contemporary sound based on pop, electronic and/or experimental tango.
